Virtual visits
Make a little space for your care.
A few small preparations help your telehealth visit feel more comfortable and focused.
- Choose a quiet, private place with a reliable internet connection.
- Check your camera and microphone, and have your appointment link ready.
- Keep your medication list and questions nearby.
- Attend while safely seated, never while driving.
- Confirm the state and physical location where you will attend.
Your provider and visit type determine whether telehealth is appropriate. If your connection fails, use the contact instructions provided for your appointment.

Before you book
Three useful questions for your health plan.
Is my clinician in network?
Ask about the specific provider, location, appointment type, and whether a referral or authorization is needed.
What might I pay?
Ask about your deductible, copayment, coinsurance, and any separate costs for testing or additional services.
Is telehealth covered?
If you plan to meet virtually, ask whether your plan covers the visit and if any conditions apply.
Uninsured or choosing not to use insurance? Ask the practice for a good faith estimate of expected charges.
